Race For The Cure

The physicians and staff here at Virginia Physicians for Women wish to thank all those who participated in or helped to support the 2010 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. All those who were able to run/walk at the event were treated to a gorgeous sunny day with just the right amount of cool breeze to keep everyone comfortable. As always there were lots of fun giveaways and plenty of educational moments. One of the highlights, as always, was the Parade of Survivors followed by a rousing warm-up to get everyone limbered up and ready to go. So once again, to all those who were able to support the race in some form- running, walking, sleeping in, or supporting someone who was participating in the race- thank you for helping us to help advance the Race for the Cure! We were able to race past our donation goal thanks to everyone’s generous support.

We at Virginia Physicians for Women are excited to once again be the proud sponsors of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. As many of you know, this run/walk is a wonderful way to show your support to all of those working to find the cure for breast cancer as well as honoring those who have fought the battle with breast cancer. Whether you choose to come out and walk/ run the race with us, or would rather “Sleep-in” for the cure, your participation helps to advance the Race for the Cure.
